AnimLens Privacy Policy

Summary

AnimLens is a macOS app for previewing local animation files (SVGA, Lottie, animated images, and related formats). AnimLens does not collect personal data, does not require an account, and does not upload your files.

Data collection

AnimLens does not collect, sell, rent, share, or transmit personal data. The app does not include account registration, analytics, advertising tracking, or cloud synchronization. There are no AnimLens servers.

What happens on your Mac

You open files you choose (Open panel, drag and drop, or Recent items restored via security-scoped bookmarks). Files are read and decoded on your Mac for on-screen preview. Recent-file bookmarks and display preferences stay in local preferences on your Mac.

Network

AnimLens does not upload your animation files. Any network entitlement exists only so WebKit can run the local renderer. Preview content is not sent to a AnimLens service.

If you later unlock paid features through the Mac App Store, Apple StoreKit may contact Apple’s purchase systems. That traffic is handled by Apple, not by a AnimLens backend.

Changes to this policy

If AnimLens changes how it handles privacy in a future release, this policy will be updated on this page.
